Benjamin Barnes received the Smalley-Curl Institute Distinguished Poster Award from NT21 (International Conference on the Science and Application of Nanotubes and Low-Dimensional Materials, June 6-11, 2021. Watch graduate student Alex\u00a0Brozena\u00a0explaining some of our group\u2019s research, along with Prof. Bryan Eichhorn and Janice Reutt-Robey, in a movie entitled \u201c<a href=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=ndJlgTkm0oQ&amp;feature=plcp\">Nanotechnology Today &#8211; Fuel Cells,\u00a0Buckyballs\u00a0and Carbon Nanotubes<\/a>.\u201d This movie was made by\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/user\/BytesizeScience?feature=watch\">Bytesize\u00a0Science<\/a>\u00a0(The American Chemical Society&#8217;s YouTube channel) to celebrate the 25th anniversary of National Chemistry Week.<\/p>\n<p>October 23, 2012.\u00a0ChuanFu\u2019s\u00a0poster entitled \u201cControlling Interfaces for Electrically Interconnected, Non-cracking Si Beads-string Li-ion Battery Electrodes,\u201d won the best poster in the &#8220;best visuals&#8221; category at the\u00a0Fall\u00a02012 Meeting of the DOE-funded Energy Frontier Research Center. This work is collaborated with Prof. John Cumings\u2019 group at MSE, Prof. Teng Li\u2019s group of Mechanical Engineering, and Dr. Yue Qi of GM. Our collaborator Khim Karki won the best poster for \u201cbest collaboration\u201d and the best oral presentation for the collaborative work.<\/p>\n<p>September 1, 2012. Jia started his independent research group at\u00a0Tongji\u00a0University as the \u201cThousand Young\u00a0Talents Program\u201d Professor.
