The group occupies two synthetic laboratories
(3326 and 3336) on the third floor of new wing of the Chemistry
building. This state-of-the-art facility is dedicated to hood
intensive research and teaching and includes ample space to
promote interactions between students in the various research
groups. The synthetic labs comprise four double hoods and associated
bench space; the student office area is adjacent and overlooks
the University of Maryland campus. Our two instrument rooms
(3330 and 3340) house our chemical collection, specialized instrumentation,
and dedicated hood space for stills and potentially hazardous
reactions. Directly adjacent to the labs is a small kitchen
for student and faculty use and a beautiful "breakout"
area that has become an extremely popular meeting place in the
department. Dr. Isaacs office is located in room 3341.
