Staff News

When it comes to our staff our goal is to provide each person with training and enough diversity in their positions so if one chooses they can advance in their careers.    We saw the fruits of our efforts with the internal promotions of Ellen Guloy, Catherine Rosenfelder and Caedmon Walters.   Of course with our philosophy there is also the possibility that people will leave to accept promotions in other departments.   This past year we saw the departure of Jamie Athey, Kimberly Nichols, and Rita Wooddell who all accepted positions in other departments on campus.   We also bid farewell to Cynthia Haglund and Rochanne Puckett who relocated out of the area.  Byron Silvera resigned to begin a second career in theology and Robert Harper retired from Computing Services. We extend congratulations to all. We welcome to our team, Sharlene Briggs and Carl Womack in Business Services, Yvette Twiggs in the Graduate Program office. This year we will continue to concentrate on improving and streamlining the services we provide to the department.
